"... on German soil for the whole world"

The exhibition "...on German soil for the whole world" opens up new perspectives on the events during National Socialism in Lower Saxony. The international interdependencies and global connections that existed from the very beginning are systematically analysed here for the first time.

Theme of the exhibition

A multi-perspective approach makes it possible to view the events from different angles and to understand the complex development of National Socialist persecution policies. From the early phase of the Nazi regime to the systematic mass extermination, the accompanying volume sheds light on the progressive radicalisation, but also shows moments of resistance and humanity.

Important focal points are the individual fates and the self-assertion of those affected as well as the room for manoeuvre of the "people's comrades" and the motives of the perpetrators. With a special focus on Lower Saxony and its historical sites, the local and regional references to global events become clear.

Lower Saxony under National Socialism - an exhibition that promises new insights and knowledge.
