About the library

The library is located on the upper floor of the exhibition building. It contains more than 14,000 publications. The focus is on titles directly related to Bergen-Belsen as well as books and specialised journals on National Socialism, the concentration camp system, the Holocaust and the history of groups persecuted under National Socialism.

The library has a reading room with workstations; it is not possible to borrow books. In-depth information and sources from the permanent exhibition can be used at PC stations in the reading room.

The library's holdings can be searched online via the catalogue of the Association of Memorial Libraries (AGGB).
