Marc Ellinghaus

Tasks

Marc Ellinghaus is responsible for open educational programmes aimed at interested visitors to the memorial, such as "open guided tours", as well as various digital activities and projects. Other key areas of his work include the provision of information for visitors to the memorial and the further development of materials, media and infrastructure. Marc Ellinghaus is also deputy head of the department.

Marc Ellinghaus has been a research assistant in the Education and Encounters department since 2009. He studied philosophy, history and political science at the University of Hanover. Since 2000, he has worked for the Bergen-Belsen Memorial, initially as a guide and later in various projects, including the completion of the current permanent exhibition.
