Responsibilities
Ilka Witte is an educational officer. Her responsibilities include delivering educational programmes, particularly those tailored to specific professional groups such as the police, the armed forces and the justice system.
Ilka Witte completed a Bachelor’s degree in History and Protestant Theology at Leibniz University Hannover in 2021. She is currently studying History, Protestant Religion and Politics and Economics as part of a Master of Education programme at Leibniz University Hannover. Between 2017 and 2025, she worked on a freelance basis for the Bergen-Belsen Memorial, the Anne Frank House Oldau Peace Centre, the Leisure and Youth Education Centre of the YMCA Regional Association of Hanover, and Arbeit und Leben Niedersachsen. She ran various educational programmes, participatory projects on remembrance culture, and international youth exchanges. Between 2021 and 2023, she worked as a student assistant at the Institute of Didactics for Democracy in Hanover on two projects focusing on the design of educational materials concerning the inner-German border and the historical landscapes of the former Kingdom of Hanover during National Socialism.
